There are two methods of transferring a call.
1.
Blind Transfer
This is where you take a call and
want to transfer it to another destination without alerting that destination
beforehand.
When you are on a live call, look
on the screen for an option labelled ‘Transfer’, or ‘Trnsfr’ or similar.
Press this button to put your
current call on hold. You can now use the keypad to dial the number of the
destination to which you want to transfer the call.
Once you have dialled that
number, press ‘Transfer’ again to move the call onto that number. Your phone
screen should return to its Idle mode, indicating the call is no longer live
with you.
2.
Assisted Transfer
Here, you alert the recipient of
the transferred call before completing the transfer.
When you are on a live call, look
on the screen for an option labelled ‘Transfer’, or ‘Trnsfr’ or similar.
Press this button to put your
current call on hold. You can now use the keypad to dial the number of the
destination to which you want to transfer the call.
Once you have dialled that
number, wait for the other person to answer. You can announce that you have a
call for them, then press ‘Transfer’ again to complete the action.
If that person declines the call,
hang up on your call with them and this returns you automatically to your first
call, where you can inform them of the situation.
