Calling Plans

This guide is designed for administrators managing Connect it services in the Anywhere Portal and need to manage call flow settings. ucSKILLS includes video tutorials covering the main call flow settings.

Please Note: All chargeable calls are barred during trials and making changes to the outgoing call plan below will not enable chargeable calls. If you need to make chargeable calls including international calls, you can request this through the Connect it Portal or by contacting Connect it support. Once the feature has been enabled, you can make changes to the outgoing calling plan to allow calls for the group or for selected users.

Group Outgoing Calling Plan

To access the Outgoing Calling Plan from the side menu click Calling Settings, then Outgoing Calling Plan.

Use the Outgoing Calling Plan to define outgoing calling privileges for users in your group or departments. For users not in a department, they will use the first default entry in the OCP.

Originating

To disallow calls to specific call types, change the drop down from Allow to Disallow then click Save. 

Additional call types can be viewed by click on “see another 8”. 

Redirecting

For calls that are forwarded from a user account, these can be treated differently to calls dialed from the handset. Click the Redirecting tab to deselect options. 

Any changes made to a Users Outgoing Calling Plan will override settings made at the Group/Department Outgoing Calling Plan.


Group Incoming Calling Plan

You use this page to restrict incoming calls to the group or to departments in the group.  You can prevent the following types of calls:  Calls From Within Group/EnterpriseCalls From Outside Group/EnterpriseCollect Calls, and call types represented by custom digit strings the system matches against outside numbers.

To disable calls to the Group or Department for a particular entry, either uncheck the box or select Disallow from the drop down menu then click Save.


Digit String

To add a Digit String, click the Add button. 

 Enter a name for digit string, such as Spam Caller. The Name can only be letters.

 Enter the digit string of the calls you wish to block or allow. When Adding the Digit String there is further information on the type of digit strings you can add, but at its simplest just add the number of the single caller you wish to block as shown in the example. 

 Click Add to save this. 

 Uncheck the boxes in the Incoming Calling Plan to stop calls from being delivered to the Group or Department.
